Laser as an invention came about in the 60s. In the 90s, the technology for laser hair removal was invented. The technology became safer in the 2000s and the current technology with completely safe laser - even in the intimate area - began to be used in the 2010s. In the 2020s, lasers were introduced that can also be used on dark skin. Laser is therefore a safe method for permanent hair removal that kills the hair follicles for good.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LASER AND IPL?
If you have previously had a treatment and despite repeated treatments the hair has returned and if the treatment has also been painful, it is likely that you have had an IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment and not a real laser. IPL uses broad light while real laser works with concentrated energy that reaches deeper into the hair follicle. WHAT HAIR AND SKIN TYPES CAN BE TREATED?
Modern laser machines work on more skin types than before. The main rule is that the hair must be darker than the skin. The best results are achieved with dark hair and light skin, but even dark skin types can be treated if there is a contrast between the skin and hair. However, lasers do not work on gray, red or very light hair.

BEFORE TREATMENT

Avoid sun, tanning beds, sunless tanning products and products with high SPF for at least one week before treatment (on the area being treated)

Shave or trim the area 1 day before or on the same day

No deodorant, perfume or creams on the area before treatment

Avoid the sun, solariums and sunless tanning products for at least a week afterwards.

Feel free to moisturize your skin with your regular moisturizer, preferably with SPF.

Shaving is allowed between treatments, but waxing is not. The roots must remain until the next laser treatment.

Use SPF 50-100 if the area is exposed to direct sunlight for the first week

CAN YOU SEE HOW MANY TREATMENTS I WILL NEED?
No, no one can. But we can give an estimate based on your gender, age, ethnicity, and our experience. That estimate is only an estimate and should not be taken as the "word of God." There is no way to tell how many phases you have.
I HAVE DARK SKIN. WILL I NEED MORE TREATMENTS THAN SOMEONE WITH LIGHT SKIN?
It is highly likely that you will need a few more sessions. This is because we cannot use exactly the same parameters on the two skin types and the energy of the laser on darker skin types is lower than that of the laser on lighter skin types.
I WANT TO HAVE INTIMATE LASER, BUT I'M WORRIED ABOUT GETTING AN ERECTION
It's a common concern for many and a common reaction for many. The body reacts to touch regardless of the person or situation. It's completely normal and something we encounter all the time. It's nothing to be stressed about or ashamed of.
WHAT IS THE INTERVAL BETWEEN TREATMENTS? CAN IT BE DIFFERENT?
It may be slightly different on different parts of the body but the rule of thumb is that a new growth phase has occurred after seven weeks. If you do a full body we follow that. Only the intimate area can take six weeks and only the legs seven. Expect about one treatment every two months.
IF I CANCEL THE TREATMENT, HAVE I "THROWED MY MONEY AWAY"?
If your goal is hairlessness and you stop the treatment, you will not have achieved the desired result. However, the hair follicles we have managed to kill are dead and you will continue to have sparser and slower hair growth even if you stop.
I WANT TO LASER MY BACK BUT I CAN'T SHAVE MYSELF THERE. CAN I STILL COME?
Yes. If you are unable to shave yourself, we can help you with that at the salon. We can shave the area before the treatment for a cost of 150 SEK. This does not mean that you should be unshaven everywhere, but you should shave the areas you can reach yourself.
